Day Camp Counselor

The Day Camp Counselor is responsible for the supervision of program participants and the implementation of on-site activities.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise program participants in both small group and large group settings.
• Implement sports, group games, and arts & craft activities for program participants.
• Maintain District and school district equipment and facilities in a clean and orderly manner.
• Communicate effectively with participants, guardians, and staff regarding rule infractions, questions, or concerns.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Minimum six (6) months of experience working with children, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of a variety of sports, group games, and arts & craft activities. Ability to teach and demonstrate creativity in delivery of activities.
• Ability to address complaints and resolve concerns
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, First Aid, CPR, and AED certification within two (2) months of hire.
