Stovepipe Wells in Death Valley National Park - Journey Beyond the Ordinary. Stovepipe Wells has an 80-room hotel, restaurant, bar, pool, gas station, general store, and gift shop. Stovepipe is a welcoming, safe, and environmentally responsible resort providing accommodations and services inside Death Valley National Park. POWDR operates Stovepipe Wells under a long-term concession contract with the National Park Service.

The Retail Associate is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the retail outlets within Stovepipe Wells. You will actively cultivate a safe, friendly, and fun work environment where outdoor adventure and environmental stewardship are embraced.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Answer guest questions regarding recreation, trails, paths, merchandise, lodging, the local area, directions, open hours, the resort and other relevant interests.
POS technology and cash handling techniques.
Visually check inventory, products and receiving.
Perform routine visual inspections of products and ensure attractive, neat placement.
Ensure prompt service and guest comment card surveys. Participate in the actions to improve as directed.
Ensure attractive, clean and organized products.
Secure proper signage, help with loss prevention.
Work to ensure a top-notch, high touch guest experience.
Adhere to green procurement standards
Prepare for inspections and audits and is always prepared.
Communicate family friendly recreation for the public and lodging guests.
Well-versed in inventory to maximize business and sales.
Participate in on-going team training and development engagement to maximize the guest experience, satisfaction, and skills such as, EHSQ, offering and selling merchandise, retail, lodging, and activities.
Training and developing staff to ensure excellent customer service and efficiency.
Promotes overall enjoyable staff experience by implementing positivity and fun in daily operations.

Due to the in-person nature of the hospitality business, this position is on-site. Housing/RV site will be provided on-site.
Due to the nature of our business, Stovepipe Wells Village is open every day. You must be prepared to work a schedule which may include Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
