Responsibilities: This person will be expected to increase livestock producer awareness and education about conservation grazing and natural resources and increase the scale and/or rate of conservation practice delivery and adoption by ranchers/livestock producers. Important elements include integrating and connecting wildlife, soil, and water conservation management benefits to a farm’s forage and economic goals. All duties should be performed in accordance with company policy.
What You’ll Do
- Develop, support, and promote soil, water, and wildlife conservation programs for Missouri’s farmers and ranchers
- Conduct Producer meetings and educational events and write periodic articles in Today’s Farmer magazine
- Develop promotional and outreach materials that highlight conservation practices tailored to producers.
- With input from partners, assist in program development and educational materials to be shared with strategic partners, producers, and landowners regarding the “grazing with natives” initiative and applicable initiatives.
- Be knowledgeable of Federal and State cost-share practices available across Missouri.
- Collaborate and have general knowledge of grazing programs offered by other partner entities, where applicable, to help landowners meet their objectives.
- Help MFA employees and producers understand how pollinator habitat, cover crops, and annual forages can be integrated into their grazing operations.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Conservation, Natural Resources, or a related degree or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of work experience in grazing/forage management, agriculture, or conservation preferred
- Preference for holding a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) accreditation (or willing to obtain)
