What You'll Do

Support Specialists provide operational, classroom, and behavioral support for summer camps and may mentor Instructors and Counselors-in-Training.




  • Shift Times: 7:30am–4:00pm (before care) OR 9:30am–6:00pm (after care).




  • Schedule: 8 weeks starting June (no camp week of July 4th); training in late May.



Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Supervising campers (K–7th grade) and mentoring Counselors-in-Training.



  • Providing classroom support, including substituting for lead/assistant instructors.



  • Offering 1:1 camper support for various behavioral needs.



  • Reviewing rosters, checking attendance, and completing daily reports.



  • Ensuring supplies are replenished and preparing daily activities.



  • Supporting before and after care operations as assigned.



What We're Looking For

Must Haves (Required):

  • At least 18 years of age.



  • 1+ years working with children in a camp or classroom setting.



  • Experience instructing children and communicating with diverse groups.



Nice-to-Haves (Preferred):

  • Experience with program administrative support or leading peers.



  • Knowledge of wildlife conservation.



  • Certification or experience in behavioral support needs.



Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions


  • Demands: Stand/walk for 2/3 of the day; lift 20 pounds; use hands for office/manual tools.




  • Conditions: Constant contact with co-workers; exposed to noise and extreme outdoor heat.
